Spring 2010 Examinations

Midterm examinations

Here are some samples of old midterm exams. Note that the material covered differs from semester to semester and instructor to instructor. You will not be held responsible for anything that we did not cover or ask you to read before the modterm exam or discussed in class. Review the material on the web.

Final Examination

When and where

The exam will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 on Monday in our classroom.

What the final will cover

The exam will cover material starting with lecture 12. However, answering questions based on that might require drawing on what you learned in the first half of the course. So, roughtly, it's scheme and prolog.

What to study

Do all of the assigned reading listed on the schedule

Review all of the notes that we covered in class, listed on the schedule

Look at the program examples linked from the schedule -- try them out and understand them

Review the old final exams, but you are responsible for material we covered. What is covered in 331 varies from year to year.

it's a good idea to study the model solutions we provide for the homeworks since the midterm exam.

If you have questions, post them to the discussion board and I will try to answer them quickly.
